Street League offers four schemes in South Norwood each year, at which footballers are offered help and advice about finding work, as well as a weekly Street Football session in Selhurst.

The seven-week Academy programme starts on July 29 at the Samuel Coleridge Taylor Centre.

Benefits include one to one employment advice, CV tailoring and mock interviews, as well as football coaching and 11 a side matches.

The organisers claim that half of its “graduates” from the Street League Academy get jobs, and one-quarter move into training as a result of attending the course.

Until July 29, there is a weekly Street Football session at the Selhurst Astro Turf, Dagnall Park, SE25 5PH, every Tuesday from 12-2pm.

There will be an Academy graduation ceremony at Crystal Palace FC’s Selhurst Park stadium on September 12.
