Has Harry Hill ever had a billing like it?
Hill headlines a charity comedy night at Whitgift School on March 25, where the bill also includes Dom Holland and Addy van der Borgh.
The school has staged comedy nights before, with Lee Mack drawing a sell-out crowd to South Croydon last year during his UK tour.
Next month’s event is in aid of Get Kids Going and the Alice Mittelman Foundation, with tickets priced at £15 (£12 for concessions).
The comedy night is part of a wide-ranging programme of generally more highbrow arts events which began with a recital by Moldavan violinist Grig Cuciuc, a scholar at the school, last week and continues at St Peter’s church, South Croydon, with a concert and evensong on Saturday, Feb 12.
For his gig, Harry Hill is given the big build-up by the school thus:
“We are thrilled to announce four-time Bafta-winner and TV presenter, Harry Hill, as our headline act, not only due to his immeasurable talent and eminence in the world of comedy but also because he will be able to visit the home of Peter the Duck, created by Mr Andrew Hunt (Head of Oriental Languages).”
