The latest issue of Shirley Life, the online magazine produced by a collection of local residents and activists, has just been published.
The issue includes columns by former MP Andrew Pelling and councillor Stuart Collins, a fascinating piece on the work of the renowned Croydon artist Cicely Mary Barker, some offers from local businesses and traders, and all within a seasonal cover featuring the unique Shirley poppy.
There is also more important information about the under-threat (or not) Shirley Library by local historian Mike Jackson.
Shirley Life is clearly a useful service to locals in Shirley and beyond. To access the latest issue, click here.
