Online magazine offers another perspective on Shirley Life

The latest edition of Shirley Life, the online community magazine, is now available, with a range of fascinating articles and local news that should be of interest for the broader Croydon public, and not just Shirley residents.

  • This month’s contents include a look at Croydon’s plans for rubbish collections, with Shirley Life angry that the council had completely overlooked Shirley in its initial consultations. There is to be a meeting at Shirley Library on Friday, August 26, when council officers will explain how the system will be imposed from October.
  • There’s also a report on council leader Mike Fisher’s performance at the recent Q&A session
  • Ghost houses in the neighbourhood
  • How to support local shops
  • More on the lack of proper parking
  • And a column by someone called Pelling.

All Shirley Life (and a good deal more) can be found by clicking here.
