Entries open for Emer Casey cancer charity 10km, Nov 1

Brockwell Park is staging the Emer Casey Memorial London 10km road race on Sunday November 1, a popular local event which offers a challenging course with several climbs up what seems to be an ever-steeper hill.

Brockwell Park road raceThis race raises money for ovarian, endometrial and uterine cancer research in memory of Emer Casey, whose family contacted Herne Hill Harriers six years ago to host a fundraising event.

The race attracts, and welcomes, newer runners as well as established club athletes.

With a 9.30am start on a traffic-free course, entry fee is £14 (no further fundraising required) for advanced entries, or enter on the day. All proceeds to the Emer Casey Foundation.

There are changing and baggage facilities available, and some prizes in various categories.
