Przemek Skwirczynski: seeks a ‘final solution’ to civil wars in Middle East

Przemek Skwirczynski, the former UKIP election candidate who has also stood alongside a far-right Holocaust denier in Poland, has been welcomed back into the Conservative Party despite Islamophobic and other extreme views which have even seen him call for western nations to use nuclear weapons against Islamic State.

The sometime Purley resident stood for UKIP in Norbury ward in the 2014 Croydon council elections, and again in Tooting in the 2015 General Election.

He has since then rejoined the Tory Party.

Last month, following the Paris massacres, Skwirczynski called for people to take up arms and “pre-emptively cleanse the UK of all the vermin”.

But this was just the latest instance of Skwirczynski advocating his own warped version of a final solution. Last year, he actually advocated using nuclear weapons against ISIS. “It is both funny and makes sense,” he wrote on Twitter.

“It not only offers a quick solution but is also more economical than alternatives.”

It does not take a historian such as David Starkey to identify the undertones of Nazism in such a statement.

Skwirczynski was responding to a tweet from The Commentator, a right-wing online publication for which he has been an occasional contributor, and which also has strong connections with Croydon Tories – Claire Hilley, the one-term Waddon councillor, and her thirsty husband, Steven George, have both been listed as “contributing editors”.

Skwirczynski’s extremist views as expressed last month could be seen to be incitement to murder, as well as inciting racial or religious hatred, all criminal offences, and could therefore be subject to police investigation. That the Conservative Party should actively accept a membership application from someone who expresses such openly bigoted and racist opinions may point to the Tories’ desperation for any new members. Skwirczynski clearly seeks endorsement from any political party which will provide him with a chimera of “credibility”.

In October this year, Skwirczynski was a candidate in the Polish elections for the far-right KORWiN party. KORWiN’s party leader is Janusz Korwin-Mikke, is notorious as a Hitler apologist and Holocaust denier. And clearly someone with whom one of the Tories’ newer members is comfortable in sharing a political platform.
