Hat-tip to Marcus Hook for this, as he points out that the Croydon Weight Loss Centre, shown here on Google Maps from when it was trading on Brighton Road, just down from South Croydon Bus Garage, has now closed.
Looking at its location, surely it was a business doomed to fail. Was it squeezed out from the pressure of the cake bakery and fish and chip shop on either side?
It all rather reminded us of this Croydon “meal deal”.

Haha! More like it has stiff competition from Weight Watchers and the fact that Slimming World are dominating the South Croydon Area. Mind you most of that parade of shops in South Croydon is some kind of food shop nowadays, the very next one on the other corner is a Kebab Shop! 🙂
