The Crystal Palace Overground Festival may be taking a break year, but their activities, and fund-raising, continues, starting with a concert next month.
They say, “South London’s finest analogue synth knights of the round control console, Metamono, curate an evening of sonic entertainment to delight your ears.
“They will be performing tracks from the album on the night along with other roof raising favourites.”
The concert, with support acts, will be at Anerley Town Hall on Friday, March 18 from 7.30pm.

Raf and O
Garnering widespread acclaim , Raf and O [Raf Mantelli and Richard Smith (O)] are creating a buzz with exciting performances of their unique detailed avant-pop. Supporting artists such as Faust, Little Annie Bandez, they were special guests in Richard Strange’s production for William S.Burroughs centenary at Queen Elizabeth Hall and recently composed music for the theatre play That Woman’s Voice, a Tribute to Jean Cocteau and The Human Voice.
Sculpture
Optomusical agglomerate, Sculpture, is Dan Hayhurst (musician) and Reuben Sutherland (visual turntablist). Live, they use computer, tape recorder, video zoetrope turntable and electronic devices to generate an unstable multisensory overload.
Brother G and The Trouble
Brother G and the Trouble create experimental music and sound with Spoken Word using Piano, Reel to Reel Tape Machines, Accordion, Clarinet, Percussion and the Voice. For the next performance they will be: Alison O’Melia – Piano/Accordion/Clarinet, George Harris – Spoken Words/Machines. With Mitzy Valentine – Flute/Clarinet and Voice and Agatha Lisowska – Violin/Voice
They have performed at the Crystal Palace Overground Festival as well as various spoken word events in London. Their compositions and improvisations are inspired by travels, surroundings and experiences in the city as well as in the shires of Cornwall and Derbyshire.
Junkshop Disco
DJ Fireboy The Third Jnr (Captain Spangles/ Stereo/ Junkshop) and Blenda Jaxxon (Castlemania) will be spinning the coolest cuts of cheapo vinyl from the last 60 years of popular music. They have been doing some serious bargain bin crate digging to find the best thrift shop shakers, charity shop stormers and boot fair belters to get the dance floor moving. No Cats Protection League has been left unforaged!
