History talk takes look at life on different sort of ‘estate’

Norwood Society logoThe Norwood Society’s next local history talk is “Wates in the Woods”, when Ian McInnes, the chairman of the Dulwich Society, returns to describe the development of the estate that can be so clearly seen from the top deck of the No3 bus and lies between Dulwich Wood Avenue and Dulwich Wood Park.

The talk takes place on Thursday February 18 at 7.30pm at the Upper Norwood Library, Westow Street, SE19 1TJ.

Meanwhile, the Family and Local History Research Group continues and meets next at 10.30am this Thursday February 11, also at the Upper Norwood Library. The next meeting afer that is on February 25.

All are welcome to these events, which are free, though donations towards the costs of refreshments are always welcome.
