Those lovable rogues at the South Norwood Tourist Board have come up with another wheeze, this time with a music festival to rival Glastonbury, all staged at what is possibly Croydon’s smallest park.

With the micro-park sited close to the junction of Woodside Green and Brigstock Road, the SNTB’s latest cunning stunt is to call their event “Woodstock”. Geddit?

The Woodstock festival, probably Britain’s smallest music festival, will take place on June 24, to coincide with the country’s largest, Glastonbury.

This will give locals in Coniston road to make a few bob flogging red stripe and boost the local economy,” the organisers say. Winners all-round then.

A full line-up of acts will be announced in due course.
