The Croydon Natural History and Scientific Society’s regular series of activities continues on October 17 with an illustrated talk about the industries and architecture of Croydon’s first bypass, the Purley Way.
The talk will be presented by Celia Bailey with contributions from Paul Sowan.
The talk will take place in the Small Hall at East Croydon United Reformed Church, Addiscombe Grove, Croydon CR0 5LP.
The CNHSS’s next open event is another talk – The Classical Roman World, with special reference to Roman Britain – by Stephen Humphrey, to take place at the same time and venue, on Monday, October 31.
Attendance at the talks is free, but the organisers suggest a £2 donation towards the costs from those who are not members of CNHSS.
