Undaunted by Brexit uncertainties over the economy and despite being in competition with the multi-million-pound council-subsidised Boxpark nearby, a pizza restaurant is launching on South End by offering 50 per cent off meals for three days next week.

Bianco43 is open for business in Croydon

Bianco43 in Croydon is the fourth in the chain to open, offering what the owners describe as “a genuine taste of Italy by bringing in carefully selected ingredients directly from specific regions of their homeland”.

Bianco43 is using the large restaurant site where the long-closed Mirch Masala used to trade, not far from the Skylark pub. It is opening not long after South Croydon’s branch of Pizza Express closed, so the timing could be fortunate.

To help promote the venture, the proproetors are offering 50 per cent off food orders next Monday to Wednesday, November 21 to 23.

“We are very excited to launch our fourth London site in Croydon. We want to recreate the same atmosphere that we achieved at our other sites where our customers enjoy delicious Italian food in a comfortable and relaxed setting,” said co-owner Fabrizio Margarita.

Diners will be able to choose from an impressive range of Neapolitan pizzas.

All of Bianco43’s pizzas are cooked in the traditional wood-fired oven, with temperatures reaching 500 degrees.

Each pizza is cooked for only 70-90 seconds, in order to maintain the freshness and intensity of the flavours.

Bianco43 also offers antipasti, such as Calamari E Zucchine Fritte(fried squid and fried courgettes served with tartare sauce) and Tagliere Del Contadino which is a selection of Italian cured meats.

And there is also a range of pasta, gnocchi, fish and steaks, plus Italian-influenced desserts.

All wines featured on the menu are authentic blends carefully selected from various Italian wine regions.

Bianco43 Croydon follows the restaurant owners’ successful restaurants in Greenwich, Blackheath and Trafalgar Square. It will be open for dinner on weekday evenings, and also offer lunchtime service at weekends.
