Adults looking for ways to boost their chances of getting a job by developing new skills are invited to an open day at the CALAT centre in New Addington, next Tuesday, July 11.
Held between 9.30am and 3pm there will be sessions on finding out how a Croydon Adult Learning and Training course provided by the council could help find people a job with a difference.
Other parts of the day will focus on business computing, with an assessment of skills and a chance to see demonstrations of commonly used office software.
The New Addington CALAT centre is part of the library building at the south end of Central Parade and is easily accessible from elsewhere in the borough by bus or tram.
CALAT and its learners have won numerous adult education awards during their 70 years in operation and the service is one of the largest in the country. Operating from centres across the borough CALAT offers around 500 courses in subjects ranging from business skills, English and maths, through to a variety of arts and crafts courses for those looking to make more productive use of their leisure time.
People can search for available courses on the CALAT website or pick up a 2017-2018 prospectus from one of the centres or any of Croydon’s libraries.
