Heathfield House opens its orchard for Apple Day, Oct 1

It is Apple Day at Heathfield House next Sunday, October 1.

Apple Day offers an opportunity to taste some of the old (pre-1900) varieties of apples growing in our organic old varieties’ conservation orchard.

It is also a rare opportunity to buy some of our fruit, which includes some very rare varieties which are no longer available even through the best greengrocers or supermarkets.

Buy a cup of tea, coffee or fresh apple juice with a slice of strudel or apple pie and also help local wildlife by contributing to the funds for the Croydon Ecology Centre.

There is no need to register for a ticket, please come along and enjoy the day. Open from 11am to 4pm.

Croydon Ecology Centre is at The Old Orchard, Heathfield House, Coombe Lane, CR0 5RH

Heathfield House is close to the Coombe Lane tram stop.
