Runners jog over to Duppas Hill for their autumn training

The beginners’ running sessions are moving from Wandle Park to Duppas Hill for the autumn evenings.

With Wandle Park’s gates closing at dusk, the run group needs a new venue for the coming months, and the rolling pathways of Duppas Hill Park – Croydon’s oldest public open space – will provide a new challenge for the group and newcomers. And the paths are well-lit and away from the noise and fumes of busy roads, so ideal for evening running session.

With an experienced runner to guide the sessions, these are ideal for those starting out, people who have just had their London Marathon entry accepted, or just want to get to run in a group once a week.

Each session costs £2, or £10 if you book for the full six-week course.

Join in by meeting by gates near junction of Hillside Road and Cooper Road at 6.30pm every Monday.
