WIN! Exclusive competition for Hoodoos Halloween, Oct 27

Inside Croydon is delighted to offer three pairs of tickets for what promises to be one of the biggest and best Halloween parties in Croydon this year.

Local music promoters Hoodoos are staging a dress-up/music mash-up, with cheap drinks and loud rock music at the new town centre venue, The Front Room, on St George’s Walk, on Saturday, October 27, from 7pm until… well, just before midnight.

The headline act are The Weird Things – oddly exciting music for people with peculiarly good taste, and a band perfectly named for a Halloween-themed gig.

The Weird Things feature their new lead singer, the brilliant Leila…

And there’s plenty of local support acts, too, including:

  • Junk Time Party, the Croydon-based Blues-rock group
  • Drowned Out
  • The Nine Lives, a four-piece from Croydon who, it is said, evoke “cinematic drama in a heady mixture of soul, jazz and folk made to make spines tingle”.

There’s a prize on the night for the best Halloween-themed fancy dress among the audience.

So get spooky and get involved.

It all takes place here… The Front Room 37-39 St Georges Walk, CRO 1YL

Tickets are a bargain £5 each, and can be booked by clicking here.

And three Inside Croydon readers to email us with the correct answer to one simple question will each win a pair of tickets, completely free of charge.

The question is…

Name the band who originally recorded and performed the track Rock Lobster

Answers on an email, please, to inside.croydon@btinternet.com. Put “Hoodoo Competition” in the subject field, and include an address and daytme contact number in your email.

The competition closes at noon on Monday, October 22. The winners will be drawn randomly from the correctly answered entries.

No alternative prizes are available. Usual T&Cs apply. Editor’s decision is final etc and so forth…
