Great idea as so much is online these days. However although I have no issue using the app, my GP (or the reception team) has turned off the ability to book appointments or order prescriptions so you still have to phone. I managed to send them an email once, although they didn’t actually reply so then had to run the gauntlet of, “how long will it take to get through?” and “can I persuade the receptionist to let me have an appointment sometime this year?”. I don’t know how common my experience is, but the session needs to warn people that the app is only of use if their GP wants it to be and is not universal.
