Lives Not Knives, the campaigning inspiration of Croydon teenager Eliza Rebeiro, stages kim cos tim this Sunday at 5pm at the Croydon Conference Centre, upstairs at 5-9 Surrey Street.

Written with the help of script writer Alan Charles, the show has been six months in the planning. It promises to bring song, rap, dance and humour while highlighting the challenges facing youth and those trying to help them.
Started when she was 15, Lives Not Knives has seen Rebeiro awarded Phillip Lawrence and Princess Diana awards with LNK’s schemes reaching out to young people who have been previously engaged with gang crime.
LNK’s work has more credibility than some local authority outreach initiatives.
Now a mature and articulate character, Rebeiro was referred to Pupil Referral Units for anti-social behaviour in school.
Yet she has developed into a formidable public performer, and she was one of only two Londoners to leave Mayoral candidate Boris Johnson disconcerted by her resolute, sensible questioning on the stump this year.
