Foodstock music fest rounds off Fairtrade celebrations

step_logoCrystal Palace Transition Town is staging a day’s activities on Saturday, March 2, as the centrepiece of its Fairtrade Fortnight activities.

Many of the activities are free, but any money raised will be used to help fund the local food bank.

The incredible bicycle-powered banana smoothie machine
11am-3pm, outside Sainsbury’s – pedal yourself a Fairtrade smoothie and enjoy Fairtrade snacks.

3-3.30pm in Upper Norwood Library, Westow Hill
What’s life like for children on two different cocoa plantations? By Sabrina Daniele and the pupils of James Dixon primary school

tasty bites!
3.30pm–5.30pm, also in the library
Come in and try some tasty food and “taster” bite-size workshops (see below for details)

8 till late, at the Westow House pub
