MP Reed’s on his bike – have a heart and sponsor him

Croydon North’s MP Steve Reed appears to be taking Norman Tebbit’s most famous adage to heart.

But Reed is getting on his bike to help his and other people’s hearts, as he is joining the London to Brighton bike ride in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

“On Sunday June 16, I’m taking part in the BHF London-to-Brighton bike ride to raise money for research that saves lives,” Reed said.

“If you can spare a few pounds please make a donation on my fund-raising page. It’s for a very worthwhile cause. Plus you can take credit for helping me lose some of the weight I’ve gained since I became an MP!”

The British Heart Foundation is one of the nominated charities for this year’s Mayor of Croydon, Yvette Hopley, with the borough seeking to become a Heart Town, with greater awareness of heart disease, and the ways to prevent and avoid it.
