Busy car boot sales that offer the chance of real bargain

The ever-popular Warlingham car boot sales are underway for the summer.

The sales represent a great opportunity to turn some of the old junk that is cluttering your attic or garage into some hard cash.

Or if you think you spot a bargain, unearth an unappreciated piece of artwork, you might just dig out the sort of thing that could end up on Antiques Roadshow.

Staged on the pitches of Warlingham RFC’s ground at Hamsey Green, just off the Limpsfield Road near Sanderstead, the sales officially open at 8am, though cars with their boots full of booty often start queuing for a plot by 6am.

Entry fees are £10 per car selling, £15 per van selling, £15 car and trailer selling.

Buyers pay just 50p entrance fee.
