AUDIO: Sako sets up Eagles to fly high after victory at Chelsea

This is getting silly now. Pinch yourself, and you’ll find that you are not actually dreaming.

New Palace signing Bakary Sako was a handful for Chelsea defenders

Second-half goals by Bakary Sako and Joel Ward gave Palace their third win of the league season, and dealt a rare defeat to champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge yesterday.

Pardew’s Palace thus go into the international break looking down on the majority of their Premier League rivals.

As pointed out by The Eagles Beak, it is the second time in as many seasons Crystal Palace have defeated the reigning champions.

In his manager’s post-match interview, Alan Pardew can barely disguise his delight.

With good cause.
