Bethlem artists display their work at Studio Upstairs, Oct 14-26

Studio Upstairs, the town centre gallery and arts space, is to welcome artists from the Bethlem Studio Collective to showcase their first exhibition at the gallery this month.

Bethlem Studio Collective is a group of artists and makers united by their connection to Bethlem Royal Hospital and Bethlem Gallery

“We are, first and foremost creative people, judge us not by labels such as ‘unwell’, but by our craft born from joy and pride,” the Bethlem groups says.

Beth Hopkins will be holding a clay workshop at the Studio Upstairs this Saturday

The exhibition, at the studios on Park Street, will open on Saturday, October 14, with a clay workshop run by artist Beth Hopkins.

It will end at the end of the month at the studio’s regular Gallery Night with readings from artist and poet Dan Duggan, author of Luxury of the Dispossessed.

Exhibition starts this Saturday from 2pm to 4pm and ends with Gallery Night on Thursday October 26 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
