Tales of ghost ships and mermaids, South Norwood, Jan 21

Cunning Folk Tales comes to South Norwood later this month, with stories to intrigue you of ghost ships, mermaids and wrecks.

On Monday January 21, at 7pm, Cunning Folk is bringing a little music, folklore and magic to the Shelverdine Goathouse.

It is a marine theme this month, so expect some folklore of the sea.

Organised by South East London Folklore Society (last night, they staged an event in an old boozer in the Borough entitled “Is David Bowie A God?”), the South Norwood event is free (apart from the price of your pint and any food you might order while at the pub), so come on down to what the organisers say is “the friendliest event in south-east London”.

The Shelverdine Goathouse is at 7-8 South Norwood High Street, SE25 6EP.
