The Norwood Society stages its third summer walk of the year tomorrow, August 18.
Steeple chase: All Saints, Beulah Hill starting point for a guided walk
Starting at 7pm outside All Saints Church, Beulah Hill SE19, Richard Lines will lead along Church Road and the Triangle.
The Norwood Society’s next evening talk is on September 13, with the subject of “(The Dangerous Women of south London”. Further details of who these “dangerous women” might be were not immediately available.
The talk is one of many events in the Lambeth Heritage Festival and is to be held in the Upper Norwood Library, Westow Hill, SE19 1TJ.
The Norwood Society is involved in an ongoing consultation concerning the future of Lambeth’s Archives.
“A degree of cynicism is understandable given Lambeth’s previous response to the libraries consultation but the team responsible for this consultation is highly respected and independently minded,” they say. “So everyone is urged to participate and respond to the consultation, which can be found online here.”
