Police issue appeal to locate flasher on Croydon Superloop bus

Police investigating reports of a man exposing and touching himself on a bus near Croydon are appealing for the public’s help to identify him.

Wanted for questioning: the photo issued by police with their appeal

The man was sitting on the upper deck of the SL7 bus from Heathrow to Croydon between approximately 8.15am and 9am on Wednesday July 31 when he committed the offence. British Transport Police and Transport for London appear to hold CCTV recordings…

According to an appeal put out by the Metropolitan Police: “The man is said to have a long, grey beard, be around 50 years old and was wearing a white T-shirt with a blue turban.”

The police are linking the case to another incident, on Tuesday August 6, at approximately 6.55pm when it’s alleged the same man was walking along East Avenue in Southall assaulting women as he walked past them. He was thought to be wearing an orange turban at the time.

No injuries have been reported in either incident.

The police say: “If you recognise this man or if you have any information which could help, please report it to police online or call 101 quoting 1063/01AUG24.

“Alternatively this can be reported to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
