Croydon McDonald’s to get Stormzy meal deal 48 hours early

Big Mike’s: McDonald’s on North End has rebranded to mark Stormzy’s Famous Order, which is available in Croydon 48 hours ahead of the rest of the country

Stormzy has dropped Britain’s first McDonald’s Famous Order, and Croydon gets to try it first.

The Stormzy Meal will be available across nine branches of McDonald’s in Croydon from tomorrow, February 10. That’s 48 hours before anywhere else

And the McDonald’s at 86-90 North End has been specially rebranded for the occasion – as “Big Mike’s”.

The change of signage in honour of the global rap star is for a limited period only. “So if you want a snap under this brand-new signage, you better be quick!” the marketing crew at McD’s say.

Stormzy’s Famous Order comprises nine crispy McNuggets made with 100% chicken breast, McDonald’s fries, a Oreo McFlurry or Apple Pie, and a Sprite Zero. All for £7.99 (although the McD press release had one of those troubling little asterisked notes: “Prices may vary across UK restaurants”).

World star: Stormzy

Ian Stephenson, who owns and operates 11 branches of McDonald’s across Croydon and south London, said: “We’re so proud of our homegrown hero Stormzy, so to be able to celebrate in Croydon early with McDonald’s first ever Famous Order in the UK and Ireland, is an honour.

“We can’t wait to welcome all our loyal fans down to ‘Big Mikes’ to order like the man himself.”
