It must have been Sarah Japuz’s lucky day, as the nanny from Croydon won big in an online competition, scooping a £71,000 Porsche Cayenne supercar.
The only snag is that Japuz can’t drive.
Japuz, 32, has worked as a nanny – not the best-paid job – for the past 12 years. But she has never learned to drive or had a driving licence. Not even a provisional.
“Seriously!” Japuz said. “Am I dreaming? Wake me up. I’m shaking.”
The Porsche Cayenne GTS is a high-performance luxury SUV powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, a prize courtesy of online competition firm BOTB.
Japuz is a BOTB Pass member who signed up after her husband’s work colleague won a £1.25million dream home in Essex through BOTB earlier this year.
“I’ve watched videos of other people winning, but I never expected to be one of them,” Japuz said. “I wish I knew how to drive.”
Japuz says she is likely to choose a cash alternative. “The cash solves a lot of problems, and we’ve got a lot of plans.”
