The next meeting of the Save The Glamorgan campaign group will be at Croydon Town Hall at 7pm on November 1.

The group was formed in the summer to seek Asset of Community Value status for the Victorian boozer near East Croydon Station on Cherry Orchard Road, which is under threat of being demolished and turned into yet more flats.
Sean Fitzsimons, the Labour councillor for Addiscombe ward who has organised the meeting, says that the main business of the evening will be to update campaign supporters on latest news regarding the ACV status, and to formally adopt a constitution for the group, which is essential for future dealings with the council and planners.
The meeting is open to all residents, from Addiscombe and further afield, who are interested in keeping some aspect of the area’s built heritage, while also developing a community business which could provide a meeting place and social venue for generations to come.
