
“This event will help to make AI accessible and connect local businesses to new opportunities,” said Sarah Jones, the MP for West Croydon and government minister for industry.
“Well done to the Croydon Business Association for promoting the accessibility and ethical use of AI in our borough and beyond.”
The conference is being held at London South Bank University’s Croydon Campus, and admission is free. Attendees will need to register in advance for a ticket.
“With the theme ‘Innovate Locally, Impact Globally’, the summit will showcase how communities, businesses, and public services can harness AI to transform lives,” said a spokesperson for the newly-formed, independent Croydon Business Association, which already has more than 300 members.
Keynote speaker: AI minister Feryal Clark
The conference will have the theme of “How Local Communities Can Lead AI Innovation”.
The summit will include
- Expert Panels on AI in Business, Healthcare, and Education
- Hands-on exhibitions from startups and tech leaders
- Networking opportunities connecting entrepreneurs, civic leaders, and innovators
- Partnership Showcase with Croydon Council, Startup Croydon, LSBU and the Croydon Business Association
The event begins at 10am on Wednesday, October 1 at LSBU Croydon Campus, Electric House, 3 Wellesley Road, Croydon, CR0 2AG.
