Here is your chance to question the candidates for Mayor

For the first time ever, the leading candidates for Croydon Mayor will be taking part in a Digital Debate this week.

And they will be answering the questions put by YOU, the readers of Inside Croydon.

The team at Inside Croydon is staging the borough’s first Digital Debate – less a conventional, old-style (and, frankly, often desperately dull) hustings, and more like a lively round-table debate of old-school Question Time when Robin Day or David Dimbleby were in charge.

Chairing the discussion will be broadcaster and journalist Cheryl Fergus-Ferrell, supported by other Inside Croydon contributors.

All the leading candidates standing for election as Croydon Mayor on May 7 have been invited.

So: after four years of Conservative Mayor Jason Perry, record levels of borrowing, record levels of fly-tipping and record levels of Council Tax and Council Tax hikes, what questions do you want to put to the candidates seeking to run Croydon Town Hall until 2030?

Three of the candidates – Labour’s Rowenna Davis, Richard Howard of the Liberal Democrats and Peter Underwood from the Green Party – have already been subjected to questioning by iC’s columnist, Andrew Fisher.

Now,  it’s your turn, as we prepare to release the Digital Debate as a podcast for all our readers to listen to and assess ahead of election day on May 7.

With postal votes dropping through letterboxes from Crystal Palace to Coulsdon this week,  you will want to hold on to your decision until you hear what the candidates have to say in Inside Croydon’s Digital Debate.

How to submit your questions
