A 28-year-old man is in a “life-threatening condition” in hospital after a shooting in Oakbank, New Addington, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
“Police were called at 04.31hrs to Oakbank, New Addington, following reports of a firearms discharge,” a Scotland Yard spokesperson said.
“Officers responded with the [London Ambulance Service] and London’s Air Ambulance.
“A 28-year-old man was found a gunshot injury.
“He was taken to hospital, where he remains. His condition is being treated as life-threatening.
“There have been no arrests at this early stage. A crime scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing.”
The police are appealing for withnesses. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 1420/22Jun.
