Here’s wishing all our loyal readers a very Merry Christmas

Happy Christmas to all our readers!

Thank you for all the comments – the ones that were publishable, anyway – and the emails, articles, commentaries, tip-offs and documents that you have sent through to us which have all contributed to making this a vibrant, much-read and much-noticed website.

With a week of 2025 still to go, our website – your website – has broken all records for readership, with 3.7million pages of Inside Croydon read since January this year, an increase on the previous most-read year of a quarter-of-a-million.

Do, please, keep your tips and emails coming! It is the help of dozens of citizen journalists, with ideas, screengrabs and photos that allow us to deliver headline-setting journalism on a daily basis.

Our news-breaking content has led the way again on coverage of the council’s continuing travails, Mayor Perry’s unbalanced budgets and his unhinged lies to voters, as well our in-depth and leading reporting of the appointment of Commissioners, Reform Ltd’s dead mayoral candidate, the ever-lasting Westfield saga and out troubled town centre.

In 2026, of course, there’s local elections coming up, and as we have established over the past 15 years, we will be providing unmatched, unique and agenda-setting coverage through to May 8 – and beyond.

A massive thanks to all of our guests on our latest venture, The Croydon Insider podcast, which provides a sharp analysis on all of the news, local and national, as it affects this and other south London boroughs.

It’s behind a pay wall, but there’s loads of good stuff there (we would say that, wouldn’t we?), but maybe you could check it out during one of the duller moments of the next few days, and in doing so help to support our investigative and insightful journalism.

We’ll be back in 2026 with more podcasts, including Under The Flyover interviews and The Andrew Fisher Interview, in-depth and informed, as premium content for subscribers, all via Spotify and Patreon

Please keep the emails coming.

And if you haven’t done so already, give us a follow on Bluesky by clicking here.

We’ll be back on Saturday – December 27.

In the meantime, Walter Cronxite, Ken Lee, Carl Shilton, Bertie Worcester-Park, Jeremy Clackson and the rest of the crew are off to the Inside Croydon Towers Christmas party. Trebles all-round!

So have yourself a merry, merry Christmas.

Here’s wishing you all a healthy and prosperous 2026
