Work gets underway to improve Fairfield Halls foyer

As we’ve reported previously, the much-loved but ageing Fairfield Halls is reckoned to be in need of at least £20 million-worth of major works to extend the 48-year-old venue’s lifespan.

Ahead of such a high finance project getting the go-ahead from the Council, separate work has started today to give the Halls’ foyer and coffee shop area a face lift.

Fairfield in Pictures will be posting regularly during the work.

So we’re going to keep you updated as to how the surgery progresses with some sneaky behind-the-scenes pics. You won’t be able to see anything if you are visiting our Box Office as it has all been boarded off. However we’ve been allowed access to take the snaps as long as we have our hard-hats and boots on.
