Croydon Festival will be a family affair for Broudie

The Croydon Summer Festival in Lloyd Park this weekend includes as a featured act the Lightning Seeds, whose Ian Broudie is interviewed in this week’s Croydon Guardian.

Broudie will be joined on stage on Saturday by his son, Riley.

“He’s a guitarist and it is a real thrill for the two of us to play together,” says Broudie, whose set will include the song Life of Riley, when his son was born 19 years ago.

Croydon Summer Festival, Lloyd Park, July 31 and August 1, from 1pm. Free entry.
