Save the libraries: an Inside Croydon quiz

This week, Inside Croydon is running a special quiz, based on the campaign opposing cuts proposed to six of the borough’s libraries.

Our question is, who said…

The “key message to the Council was that Shirley Library is more than just a place you go to take out books or access the internet – it is the heart of the community…

“People wanted the library to stay as it is… If the Council has to reduce what it spends on Shirley Library, they pleaded for it to reduce opening hours rather than closing it altogether – once it closes, it will never re-open.”

One clue. The author is the Conservative MP for Croydon Central.

Answers on an email please, not to Inside Croydon, but to Sara Bashford: sara.bashford@croydon.gov.uk.
