Good video clip of Croydon North MP Malcolm Wicks joining the protestors at Norbury Library, campaigning against its closure. Here: Malcolm at Norbury March.
- So Croydon North’s MP opposes the closure of the three libraries in his constituency.
- Croydon South’s MP, Richard Ottaway, doesn’t want the two libraries in his constituency to be closed, either.
- And Gavin Barwell, MP for Croydon Central, is opposed to the closure of Shirley Library, on his patch.
When it comes to “listening” to the local MPs and the residents through its consultation, which many have portrayed as deliberately divisive, will Croydon Council pay any attention? Or have they already made up their minds?
