The Crocus Vale’s parish church celebrates its Minster status

Croydon Parish Church officially became a Minster yesterday. But that does not mean it is taking a step towards cathedral status to enhance Croydon’s claims to becoming a city, according to Rev Canon Colin Boswell.

Rev Boswell gave two interviews to BBC London on Sunday morning, which can be listened to again by clicking here, where he explains the church’s fascinating history, dating back to before the Norman Conquest, and what Minster status really means.
