Organisers of today’s Addiscombe Festival, which was due to start at 11am at Ashburton Park as part of the area’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, have been forced to cancel the event following the heavy overnight rain.
In related news, it is understood that if the rain continues through this morning, the planned Royal River Pageant on the Thames may take a diversion and float down Croydon High Street this afternoon.
