Purley’s Got Talent this week highlights Festival build-up

The build-up to the Purley Festival gathers pace this week.

After last night’s successful Barn Dance, the first heats of Purley’s Got Talent – you know how that will work – are being staged on Tuesday, June 12.

At Christchurch, 861-863 Brighton Road, Purley CR8 2BN, Tuesday’s heat, from 6.30pm, is for singers and bands. The second heat, on Friday June 22, at the same venue, is for dancers and comedy.

Entries are now closed, but the organisers of course welcome people to attend to support their friends and family, or just to view the show.

The finals of Purley’s Got Talent is to be held on Tuesday, June 26.

The Purley Festival culminates with two days of events at Rotary Fields on the weekend of June 30-July 1,  where there will be live music, dance, performances from the BRIT School, plus food, fun for the children and lots of great stalls.
