Free sports course for 16-17-year-olds recruiting now

Organisers are seeking applicants for a sports training and education course at Thornton Heath Leisure Centre aimed at people aged 16 and 17 that are not in education or employment.

There are no entry requirements and the organisers fund fully the 20-week course. Participants will study a range of different sports qualifications in a practical-based learning environment.

There are a limited number of places available. Recruitment open days are:

Wednesday January 16: 12.30pm and 2pm

Wednesday January 23: 12.30pm and 2pm

Venue: Thornton Heath Leisure Centre, 100 High Street, Thornton Heath, CR7 8LF

Course Start Date: Monday January 28.

In addition to the qualifications, we provide: sports tournaments, discounted travel, breakfast every morning and tracksuits.

The only way to get onto the course is by attending the Open Day and there are limited places.

Please note that our courses fill up very quickly and all potential learners will go through an interview process in order to gauge their motivation and interest in such a programme.
