What does a Transition Town do? It does “stuff”, as Rob Hopkins underlined this week on his visit to Crystal Palace.
Hopkins is the co-founder of the Transition Network and was visiting for the British launch of his book The Power of Just Doing Stuff.
This brief video illustrates the various projects that the Crystal Palace TTT has managed to get up and running, all for next to no cost and all in a very short space of time.
Hopkins is the winner of the 2009 Observer Ethical Award for the Grassroots Campaigner, and in December 2009 was voted The Guardian‘s “Green Community Hero”. In February 2012, Hopkins and the Transition Network made The Observer‘s list of “Britain’s 50 New Radicals”.
