South Norwood gets in on the festival activity

Another day, another local fair.

Clock_Tower_South_NorwoodToday’s takes place in deepest SE25, with the South Norwood Community Festival – not to be confused with the longer running South Norwood Arts Festival.

Starting this morning in South Norwood Recreation Ground, the SNCF is raising money for Priory School and the outstanding Tabula Rasa Project.

South Norwood Community Festival is a free event which is either one or two minutes’ walk from Norwood Junction station and is offering music, food, Cronx beer, and a whole range of activities.

After last year’s successful festival on Station Road, such was the demand that a change to a much bigger venue has been necessary.

Local legends Boston Brew and Los Conos are performing this afternoon, along with another dozen or so bands on the main stage. There is also an acoustic stage, arts and crafts stalls, a wide variety of food, and of course a beer tent.
