Twelve Dates of Christmas: being performed at the Spreadeagle next week

Inside Croydon is delighted to be able to offer free tickets to The Twelve Dates of Christmas for the performance next Tuesday, November 26, at the Spread Eagle Theatre.

Courtesy of the Old Joint Stock Theatre Company, Inside Croydon’s loyal reader will be able to take a guest with them to see Ginna Hoben’s acclaimed one-woman play, which has been described as “Bridget Jones meets Carrie Bradshaw“, telling the story of a thirtysomething New York singleton in a year where she is set up, strung up, and fed up.

Among the reviews which Hoben’s play received when performed in Birmingham last Christmas were, “A hugely enjoyable evening…certainly set me up for the festive season”, and “A delightful pre-Christmas starter”.

Inside Croydon is offering one pair of tickets for the play’s opening night at the Spread Eagle, next Tuesday. To win, all you have to do is answer a simple question:

Name the Hollywood actress who was the subject of the first play performed at the Spread Eagle Theatre when it opened last month.

Answers, by email only please, to inside.croydon@btinternet.com, writing “Spreadeagle Theatre competition” in the subject field, and a daytime contact number.

T&Cs and rules and stuff: usual Inside Croydon terms and conditions apply. Competition entrants need to be available to attend the performance of Twelve Dates of Christmas on the evening of November 26. No alternative prize is available.

Closing date is this noon this Friday, November 22, 2013.

The winner’s name will be drawn from a hat of the correct entries by the Polish cleaning lady at Inside Croydon Towers. The winner will be contacted by email with details of how to access their tickets.

Performances are from Tuesday November 26 to Friday November 29, at 7.30pm at the pub theatre on Katharine Street, Croydon, CR1 0NX.
