The Croydon Art Society has today opened one of its major exhibitions of the year at the Clocktower on Katharine Street, featuring its members’ work.
Utilising the Museum of Croydon’s exhibition space, admission is free.
Founded in 1881, the Croydon Art Society prides itself as being among the oldest art societies in England.
The Society is justly proud to have included throughout its history many distinguished artists as members, including Jack Merriott, Juliet Pannett, William Watkins, Wilfred Fryer, Hesketh Hubbard and Cicely Mary Barker of Flower Fairy fame.
The present exhibition is open Tuesday to Saturdays, from 10.30am to 5pm.
The exhibition runs until March 28.
