And have you tried The Chilli Lady’s Salsa Verde, or their Coconut sauce? Salsa Verde goes with meat, cheese and fish and can be stirred into a bean salad. Coconut sauce is the perfect base for Thai curries or stir a spoon into steaming mussels.
In the farm shop, mutton joints and cuts are in season until late spring; try leg of mutton poached in white wine, or very slow-roasted shoulder. Alternatively we have diced mutton for rich casseroles, curry or tagine.
Seasonal sausages this week are; Tom’s Choice, Sit Down sausage made with local cider, Chipstead Chilli pork, pork, ginger & leek and pork, honey & thyme.
Easter Sunday is only a week away: April 5 – order your turkey, goose, duck, leg of lamb or rib of beef with Martyn in the Farm Shop this weekend; these cuts are very popular and we can sell out.
