Selhurst Community Connectors are staging a family-themed Croydon North election hustings on April 14, from 6pm, at the Gingerbread Corner Child Care Centre, Grenaby Avenue, CR0 2EG.
Three Croydon North candidates will be taking part: Steve Reed OBE (Labour), Shasha Khan (Green) and, if he can find his way there, Vidhi Mohan (Conservative).
The hustings will be chaired by someone who works on a Dorking-based local newspaper.
Steve Reed retained the seat for Labour at a by-election in November 2012, held following the death of the long-term MP, Malcolm Wicks. Reed had a 11,000-vote majority over the Tory candidate.
There are seven candidates expected to stand in Croydon North on May 7, including UKIP’s Winston McKenzie, Glenn Hart of the Trades Union and Socialist Coalition, the LibDems and Communist parties.
