Upper Norwood Library investigates who got the loot

Despite all the on-going uncertainties over their library’s funding, the people behind Upper Norwood Library continue to work hard to provide a busy programme of activities for the community, at least on the days when the diminishing amounts of cash provided by Lambeth and Croydon councils permits them to be open.

The Children ActThe next month sees a full array of mothers-and-toddlers’ groups, history talks, the regular monthly book club – The Children Act by Ian McEwan on April 25, a study of “the intricate workings of institutionalised power”, if you’re interested, with a special money-off offer on the title with a local book shop…

And on April 9, there’s an Easter holidays fancy dress session for youngsters to meet the local constabulary from Gipsy Hill police station.

The session is entitled “Cops and Robbers”, and it’s up to the youngsters to work out who has made it away with all the loot…
