The Wild Hunt Bedlam Morris dancers opened their 2016 performing season at the Builder’s Arms in Leslie Park Road on Saturday, when a special guest was the Mayor of Croydon, Patricia Hay-Justice.
The Addiscombe councillor was made an honorary member of Croydon’s Morris community and presented with her own Morris tankard by the Squire of the Wild Hunt Bedlam Morris, Paul Fearon.
“The Mayor has been a great support to Morris dancing and music in Croydon,” Fearon said.
“We thought that St George’s Day would be a good to time to give her a small token of our thanks. We would like to see her at our Tuesday night practices in West Croydon if her busy council schedule permits.”
