Tagged “Apocalypse Wow!”, Fingleton’s take on a dystopian future won him acclaim and that award-nomination for best debut picture. The Northern Irishman is now in talks about making his first Hollywood feature.

On July 6, the screenwriter and director will be at the South Norwood arts venue for the screening of the film, and afterwards he will be answering audience questions about it and his craft.

“With its bleak but beautiful post-apocalyptic world, unsettling raw soundtrack, stunning visuals and exceptional performances, this gripping thriller is a masterpiece by a true emerging talent,” the Stanley’s Film Club organisers say.

Club members will have the special codeword for a discount on ticket prices. The bookings page for the event can be found by clicking here.
